This project was part of our Professional Practice brief in mid third year. For this project, I collaborated with my fellow classmate, Andrea deRoeck. The project was to design an eightteen panel exhibition for the Irish Beekeeper's Association, which was to be held in the RDS. The aim of the exhibition was to raise interest in bees and beekeeping and to encourage people to pick up beekeeping.
Andrea and I orginially began working seperately, however, after discussing our projects, we decided to merge them together as we thought they would work well and compliment each other. We split the illustrations for the panels, designed our own layouts and did multiple iterations of nine panels each. We set then set a seperate grid for the eightteen panels and merged our work together. Keeping in constant communication with each other to make sure everything was cohesive. We wanted our exhibition to be colourful and inviting, as well as interactive and educational for people of all ages.
